Being that Oakley is directly involved with the US Military already it made perfect sense to start up a charity to support our brave troops. This project required multiple implementations as it was rolled out in phases.

Phase One
A static version was created to inform the general public of the newly formed foundation and had summarized information talking about what it stood for.

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/home_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="1000" width_o="915" height_o="1000" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/home_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/faq_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="1000" width_o="915" height_o="1000" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/faq_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/contact_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="724" width_o="915" height_o="724" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/contact_o.jpg" align="left" />

Phase Two
A more feature rich version was launched to make use of various social media technologies to dynamically update many parts of the site. The foundation also required the implementation of a blogging platform to easily update it's subscribers about new events.

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/ifh_2_1_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="1233" width_o="915" height_o="1233" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/ifh_2_1_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/ifh_2_2_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="1443" width_o="915" height_o="1443" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/ifh_2_2_o.jpg" align="left" /> <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/ifh_2_3_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="1237" width_o="915" height_o="1237" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1383104/ifh_2_3_o.jpg" align="left" />

The Oakley brick-and-mortar stores need a quick and easy way for customers to see the benefits of using different lenses for different environments in their sunglasses.

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1381366/shot1_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="700" width_o="915" height_o="700" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1381366/shot1_o.jpg" align="left" />

This implementation would essentially allow the user whether at the store or at home, to input their location. This would then grab live weather information and use it to display a looping video for the background as well as simulated weather effects (snow, rain, hail, fog...etc).

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1381366/shot2_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="700" width_o="915" height_o="700" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/1381366/shot2_o.jpg" align="left" />

By having this information, we'd be able to accurately demonstrate various lenses in various conditions and in turn convert the user into a customer.

Right in time for the release of one of the most anticipated sequels (prequel) of all time, Oakley teamed up with Disney to deliver not only TRON styled 3D glasses but also a collectable TRON edition pitboss. This required two version of the homepage, as well as various marketing materials such as in store treatments and online promos.

Given that one of the main features of the Oakley Fast Jacket was it's lens interchangeability, I was asked to come up with a look for a video that would be displayed in stores. This would inform the potential customer that changing lenses is not only easy, but that it can literally change the game when it comes to a critical tee shot.

The "Rebels" campaign has been a long running, annual, and successful affair for the Oakley brand. When it became time to come up with the new push in 2010, I jumped at the chance to make it as raw and realistic as possible.

The idea is the following - The rebels are an extreme group of athletes. They put their bodies to the test, mentally and physically. Conforming isn't a word they understand. Along with these athletes, we've recognized that there are every day people pushing the limits on a daily basis.

<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/552960/1_915.jpg" border="0" width="915" height="852" width_o="915" height_o="852" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/5812/552960/1_o.jpg" align="left" />

This was their chance to show everyone that "normal" wasn't good enough by uploading a video of themselves breaking new ground. Thousands of videos would then get voted upon and the top 6 would get picked to not only be featured in the climax of the campaign, but would also win a chance to meet their favorite athlete.

Right before the launch of the iPhone 4 I was contacted by Ryan Amos, a long time client and founder of Dailybooth, to help out on visual design and user experience explorations for their upcoming iPhone app. This was particularly exciting due to the rumored front facing camera everyone was speculating about.

The app would allow you view your feed as well as all your friends', create a new entry, view your mentions, and edit your profile.
